Fully automatic Power & Free system with a shunting wagon at HF Belišće in Croatia

This week, Railtechniek van Herwijnen delivered a Power & Free system with 2 automatic bridgecranes. The system combines the advantages of a Power & Free system and a shunting wagon, creating a fully automatic and compact system. Savim (IT) was the intermediate supplier for the Croatian project.

 

HF Belišće in Croatia is part of the HF Group, which focuses on the development, production and distribution of systems for the rubber industry. The Croatian subsidiary Belišće focuses, apart from the production of components for all products within the HF Group, on the production of curing presses. 

 

The T5 power & free system consists of 2 automatic cranes that can support loads up to 4000 kg. This ensures that the heavy products with lengths of 9 x 2.2 m, driven by the system can be moved easily. When loading the products, the desired treatment can be entered using a touch screen. A bridge then autonomously picks up the traverse with products and transports it to the right track. The input and output from the tracks is also fully automatic. The combination of a power & free with a shunting wagon substantially limits the floor space required. In addition, the system provides more flexibility in the route and processes to be followed and the product can be tracked throughout the entire process.
